Job summary

You will read engineering drawings, select materials, and ensure dimensions meet specifications. MIG, TIG, ARC welding and fabrication processes will be applied; safety and quality are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specs.
• Competent in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, ARC.
• Knowledge of metals, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Strong measurement, fitting, and inspection capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal fabrication, cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, welding, and assembly.
• Fabricate machine frames, brackets, covers, fixtures, and supports.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, and specs.
• Select materials, tools, equipment, and methods per project.
• Perform MIG, TIG, ARC welding as applicable.
• Conduct fitting, alignment, and dimensional inspection.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment safely.
• Modify and repair components and structures as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers and production on fabrication requirements.
• Identify fabrication issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure components meet dimensions, tolerances, and standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe workspace.
• Adhere to company safety policies and workplace requirements.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
