Job summary

Responsibilities

• Select materials, tools, equipment, and methods per project.
• Perform MIG, TIG, ARC welding as applicable.
• Conduct fitting, alignment, and dimensional inspection.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment safely.
• Modify and repair components and structures as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers and production on fabrication requirements.
• Identify fabrication issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure components meet dimensions, tolerances, and standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe workspace.
• Adhere to company safety policies and workplace requirements.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff when necessary.

• Approximately 10 years of professional experience in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or related manufacturing work.

• Technical/vocational certification in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Machining, or a related field is preferred.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field is an advantage but not required if substantial relevant experience is demonstrated.

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.

• Proficient in various welding and metal fabrication techniques.

• Knowledge of different metals, materials, tools, and fabrication processes.

• Experience in industrial machinery, equipment fabrication, or manufacturing is highly preferred.

• Strong measurement, fitting, alignment, and quality inspection skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
