• Familiarity with different metals and welding characteristics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
• Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Set up welding equipment and choose methods per materials/specs.
• Perform welding techniques: arc, MIG, TIG, oxy-acetylene.
• Prepare and clean materials for welding; remove contaminants.
• Position and secure parts using fixtures, clamps, and tack points.
• Monitor welding process for quality and conformity.
• Inspect finished welds for defects (cracks, porosity, incomplete fusion).
• Maintain and clean welding equipment; report malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and document welding activities.
