Private Advertiser is seeking experienced Medical Coders specialized in Inpatient (IP) or DRGV coding to join our growing team. Certification and strong coding skills are required to ensure accurate, compliant coding and timely submission.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, proficiency with EHR systems, and collaboration with clinical and billing staff to support revenue cycle management and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• RHIT/RHIA/CCS certification required or equivalent recognized credential.
• Proficient in ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and billing guidelines.
• At least 2 years DRGV coding experience or 3–5 years Inpatient (IP) coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and physician notes to identify diagnoses, procedures, and services.
• Assign diagnostic, procedural, and healthcare codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Verify coded data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with guidelines.
• Submit coded records timely to billing and claims for revenue cycle support.
• Maintain audit trails and detailed records of coding activities.
