Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Manila design team, offering a path to work on high-profile projects with global standards.

You will lead CAD drafting using AutoCAD and MicroStation, develop plant layouts for materials handling facilities, mentor teammates, and ensure drawings comply with Australian and international standards while meeting project deliverables.

Qualifications

• University degree or 8+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in materials handling.
• Proficiency in design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants.
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation, complying with project procedures.
• Produce mechanical designs in accordance with project, client and regulatory standards.
• Follow and implement company standards and ensure drawings comply with Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure correct use of standard design details and notes in production drawings.
• Mentor the team and contribute to professional development.
• Provide support to team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Maintain high level of communication within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.
