Job summary

Pear Tree. in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in SolidWorks to translate complex requirements into manufacturable, site-ready designs for global heavy industrial projects.

You will lead end-to-end design development, manage large assemblies, and deliver fabrication drawings, BOMs, and tolerances while ensuring designs withstand harsh operating conditions and align with installation constraints.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years of professional mechanical design experience in heavy industrial sectors.
• Expert-Level SolidWorks proficiency with parametric modeling, weldments, sheet metal, and large-assembly management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Fabrication literacy: understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, bolting, and installation.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication for collaboration with international teams.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Design Development: create complete, manufacturable 3D models and equipment layouts from concepts and site data.
• Complex Modeling & Assembly Management: design large assemblies, weldments, structural frames, sheet metal, and pipework with proper clearances.
• Manufacturing Documentation: produce GA drawings, BOMs, cut lists, tolerances, and revision controls.
• Design for Harsh Environments: account for high loads, vibration, fatigue, corrosion, dust/water exposure, lifting, handling, and maintainability.
• Collaborative Design Reviews: work with cross-functional teams to refine concepts and optimize designs for safety and installation constraints.
