The role emphasizes drafting, documentation, and drawing control, requiring 5+ years in mechanical design and proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and GD&T per ASME Y14.5. You will collaborate across teams and manage drawing files in PDM/PLM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing small components with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in CAD with GD&T and ASME Y14.5 knowledge.
• Ability to translate requirements into complete drawings.
• Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welding, and fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with optoelectronic components.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
• Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and design inputs into complete, manufacturable drawings.
• Apply proper dimensioning, GD&T, materials, surface finishes, and technical notes per ASME/ISO standards.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes, engineering feedback, and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering codes, and documentation procedures.
• Manage drawing files, revisions, and version control using PDM/PLM systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve drawing-related issues and support manufacturability.
