Job summary

D2B is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the Philippines with expert SolidWorks skills to translate complex engineering requirements into manufacturable, site-ready designs for an Australian client.

You will own end-to-end design from concept to fabrication, manage large assemblies, generate GA drawings and BOMs, support heavy structures in harsh industrial settings, and collaborate with international teams to ensure safety, reliability, and on-time installation.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of professional mechanical design experience in heavy industrial sectors.
• Expert-level SolidWorks proficiency, including advanced weldment and sheet metal design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Deep understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, bolting, and on-site installation.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication for global teams.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Design Development: develop complete 3D models and layouts from scratch.
• Complex Modeling & Assembly Management: design large assemblies, weldments, frames, sheet metal, and pipework.
• Manufacturing Documentation: produce GA drawings, BOMs, cut lists, tolerances, and revision controls.
• Design for Harsh Environments: account for high loads, vibration, corrosion, and dust/water exposure.
• Structural Integration & Access Systems: create support frames, platforms, skids, brackets, and guards.
• Collaborative Design Reviews: work with cross-functional teams to refine concepts and ensure manufacturability.
