Job summary

SMART-TECH ELECTRO-INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS, INC. in Dasmariñas, Cavite is seeking a skilled heavy equipment mechanic responsible for inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance.

You will diagnose faults with computerized testing, replace faulty parts, perform major repairs, service attachments, and coordinate with the project team to keep sites safe and productive.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers and other heavy equipment for proper performance
• Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment
• Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts
• Repair damaged equipment parts
• Clean, lubricate, and service heavy-duty vehicles
• Service machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms
• Perform major repair work when necessary
• Consult with other mechanics on smaller jobs
• Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
• Maneuver motorized heavy equipment to remove/place materials
• Load and offload materials from heavy equipment
• Observe safety codes at all times
• Communicate with coworkers to elucidate project specifications
• Report injuries and accidents to line manager
• Advise Project Supervisor on upgrades/repairs/replacements
• Assist coworkers to keep site clean and organized at end of shift
• Provide suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Job description

Driving to the job site.

Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.

Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.

Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.

Repairing damaged equipment parts.

Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.

Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.

Performing major repair work when necessary.

Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.

Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.

Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.

Loading and offloading materials from heavy equipment.

Observing stipulated safety codes at all times.

Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed.

Reporting injuries and other accidents to the line manager.

Advising the Project Supervisor of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements.

Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.

Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.

Performs such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
