Job summary

Lloyd’s Register in Spain is seeking a M&O Senior Surveyor to inspect existing vessels and materials, manage projects, and advise on service delivery within budget and contract requirements.

The role involves producing deliverables on schedule, presenting results to clients, and ensuring compliance with procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards. CPD is encouraged, and leadership in technical and commercial aspects is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or physical science.
• Membership of a professional institution.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards).
• Experience with verification processes, product and rule development, and project management within budgets/timescales.
• Strong English communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct survey activities for existing vessels and materials & components.
• Manage projects and advise on service delivery within budgets.
• Provide deliverables on schedule and review others' work.
• Discuss deliverables with clients and propose solutions.
• Follow procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue CPD and maintain knowledge.
• Assess time and cost for external clients.
• Contribute to external client management and improve service delivery.
• Ensure authorizations are gained and kept up to date.
