Socium - Teams Done Differently is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer with hands-on RHEL and AWS experience to help modernize enterprise infrastructure. The role emphasizes automation and reliable production operations across large-scale Linux environments.

You will manage Linux workloads on AWS, automate using Ansible and Bash, and support patching, security, and incident response while collaborating with global teams during cloud modernization efforts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in BAU support, ServiceNow tickets, projects, migrations, and changes.
• Collaborate with global infrastructure, application, and engineering teams.
• Support on-call/weekend activities when required.

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Linux Engineer with strong hands‑on experience across RHEL, AWS, automation, and enterprise infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both keeping critical Linux environments stable and improving how infrastructure is built, automated, and managed as the organization continues its cloud modernization journey.

What you’ll be working on:

• Support and engineer large-scale Linux/RHEL production environments
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux workloads hosted on AWS
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Ansible, Bash, and related scripting/tooling
• Support OS patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, performance troubleshooting, and incident resolution
• Contribute to the modernization of infrastructure as workloads gradually transition from traditional virtualized environments toward cloud
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce repetitive manual work through automation
• Participate in BAU support, ServiceNow tickets, infrastructure projects, migrations, and change activities
• Work closely with global infrastructure, application, and engineering teams
• Support on-call/weekend activities when required

What we’re looking for:

• Current experience with RHEL 9 or later
• Strong hands‑on AWS infrastructure experience
• Strong Ansible and Bash scripting/automation skills
• Experience supporting business-critical or large-scale production environments
• Background in infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or transformation projects
• Comfortable working across both BAU operations and project/change initiatives
• Experience with ServiceNow / ITIL-based support environments
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Experience within banking, financial services, capital markets, or other highly regulated enterprise environments would be an advantage.

Work Schedule:

Mid shift starting at 2:00 PM PHT, with on‑call/weekend support as required
