Qualifications

• Expert-level Linux knowledge (Red Hat and SUSE) with server/storage architecture.
• Experience supporting Unix/Linux infrastructure at scale.
• Strong virtualization knowledge.
• AWS server workload management experience.
• Bash scripting and Ansible proficiency.
• Security-focused mindset (hardening, vulnerability prevention).
• TCP/IP networking understanding.
• Mentoring experience with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Unix/Linux server infrastructure (OS and hardware), including incident response and remediation.
• Deliver root cause analysis and solutions for performance and failure issues.
• Collaborate with project teams to transition new servers, tools, and initiatives into production.
• Review and improve the Linux estates effectiveness, standards, and documentation (including DR).
• Support the companys core file transfer system (JScape).
• Drive reference architecture and best practices to meet current and future business needs.
