Job summary

BitByBit (BBB) is seeking a Senior Unix/Linux Engineer to install, upgrade, and migrate Linux/Unix/AIX servers and to enhance application security and performance. You will oversee enterprise environments, drive automation with Ansible/Puppet, and manage Infoblox DNS in multi-platform setups including VMware, Azure, and OpenStack.

You will lead automation projects, implement monitoring, and ensure security best practices across on-prem and cloud workloads while collaborating with global clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of Unix/Linux server administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; master’s preferred.
• Strong automation and scripting skills (Ansible, Puppet, Python).
• Experience with DNS, NTP, LDAP, SUDO, and virtualization platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible automation for deployments and configurations.
• Manage Linux/Unix/AIX servers across on-prem and cloud (Azure) environments.
• Upgrade, migrate, and secure servers with a focus on performance.
• Create and maintain CI/CD integrations and automation playbooks.
• administer Infoblox DNS and BIND, monitor systems, and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document architectures.
