Job summary

Moder Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced life insurance underwriter with 5+ years of industry experience to join our team in Metro Manila, Muntinlupa. You will assess risks, apply underwriting guidelines, and explain decisions clearly to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively, works independently, embraces ambiguity, and collaborates to improve processes while maintaining mortality expectations. Industry designations such as LOMA, ALMI, FMLI, ALU, or FALU are a plus.

Qualifications

5-7 years of relevant life underwriter experience.
Knowledge of risk selection (medical, non-medical, financial).
Positive, inclusive, agile, and collaborative mindset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Term and permanent life underwriting.

Responsibilities

Understand underwriting policies, guidelines, practices and procedures.
Determine whether to accept, modify, or decline a risk through evaluation of medical history or physical condition, occupational hazard, and financial background.
Communicate effectively both written and verbally to explain underwriting decisions.
Influence and champion changes to improve processes while maintaining mortality expectations.
Work efficiently to gather information necessary for decision making.
Ability to independently work assigned requests with minimal direction.
Comfortable with ambiguity.
