Qualifications

• Junior: 3–5+ years of Medical Life/Health Underwriting experience.
• Senior: 5–7+ years of Medical Life/Health Underwriting experience.
• Associate Manager: 10+ years Life Underwriting, incl. 5+ years in leadership or development.

Responsibilities

• Review and apply life insurance underwriting policies and procedures.
• Evaluate applicants' medical history, APS/EHR, and financial background to accept/modify/decline risks.
• Underwrite term and permanent life insurance products.
• Gather and analyze information to support underwriting decisions.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly in writing and verbally.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and handle complex cases.
• Participate in process improvements and maintain mortality expectations.
• Associate Manager: lead, mentor, recruit, train, and drive workflow improvements in underwriting.
