Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Sociology, Medical Science, or equivalent.
• 5–10 years underwriting experience.
• 90% agreement rating in self-audit case reviews.
• Strong leadership with team supervision experience.
• Good decision-making and ability to communicate issues.
• Effective collaboration with team and other departments.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• LOMA, AALU, FALU certification is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting: ensure cases are paid with sufficient premium and documents are properly documented.
• Company representation: participate in seminars and activities on behalf of the company; engage with regulators and distributors.
• Project management: assist in ePOS, AUW and WMT and other projects.
• Self-audit & documentation: meet file standards; conduct periodic underwriting audits with underwriters.
• Relationship supervision & market research: manage agents; gather underwriting updates.
• Agent and client management: communicate with distributors to understand underwriting practices and decisions; ensure service standards.
