Job summary

DMCI, a leading Philippine construction company, seeks a seasoned Lawyer to provide general legal support with emphasis on corporate, contracts, and regulatory requirements. The role requires at least 15 years of relevant construction-industry experience, including joint ventures, and a law degree with a passed Philippine Bar.

The successful candidate will draft and review contracts, counsel executives, negotiate deals, and manage legal risk across the company’s operations in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Laws and must have passed the Philippine Bar.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience, with construction industry exposure and joint ventures.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis / strategies and counsels on legal and policy issues.
• Ensures that all transactions and agreements are within the framework of law; anticipates and guards against legal risks.
• Represents the company or its officials in various legal proceedings.
• Prepares contracts and reviews business documents.
• Writes and administers client contracts.
• Develops and recommends improvements on legal documents, contracts, forms, instruments.
• Writes reviews and edits reports, opinions, correspondence, articles and other documents.
• Prepares briefs and other legal documents.
• Undertakes research into a variety of legal issues, relevant laws, rules, regulations, orders.
• Develops a thorough understanding of the Company’s business to identify trends and formulate structures and strategies.
• Negotiates business agreements.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
