Job summary

Strato seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to steer the backend of a high-scale HCM platform built in Java/Spring Boot. You will architect and implement secure, scalable services and enable data integration with enterprise HR systems like SAP SuccessFactors, on AWS cloud.

Lead design decisions, apply best practices, and guide AI-assisted coding to optimize velocity and quality. This role emphasizes ownership, governance, and cross-functional collaboration in a modern cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience with ownership of complex systems or technical leadership.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and enterprise-grade review/refactor.
• Experience with RESTful API development and AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Java/Spring Boot.
• Apply SOLID, patterns, and clean architecture best practices.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate boilerplate, refactoring, and tests.
• Lead integrations with SAP SuccessFactors and other HR systems.
• Build API-driven data exchange and secure data handling.
• Develop and deploy on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and governance, ensure security and quality.
