LegalMatch seeks a Principal Full Stack Engineer (Java) to lead the technical direction of critical products while staying hands-on with development. You will architect scalable solutions, mentor engineers, and help build high-quality software powering the platform.

You will partner with cross-functional teams and drive best practices, including AI-assisted development, to deliver reliable, secure applications across cloud, web, and desktop environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in technical leadership.
• Strong Java and full-stack capabilities across cloud, microservices, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, TDD/BDD, and scalable database design (SQL/NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and hands-on development of scalable software solutions.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team with a focus on technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product, QA, and Engineering to plan, build, test, and deliver cloud, web, mobile, and desktop apps.
• Establish and uphold software engineering best practices to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and knowledge sharing of new technologies.
