Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer (Layer 2) to design and operate scaling solutions for Ethereum, boosting throughput and reducing costs. You will build rollup infrastructure and bridge protocols enabling seamless interaction between network layers.

In this 100% remote role, you’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define Layer 2 standards and deliver secure, high‑performance L2 applications using technologies like Optimism, Arbitrum, or zkSync.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Blockchain or Layer 2 scaling.
• Proven expertise in building or operating Layer 2 scaling solutions for Ethereum.
• Hands-on experience with rollup infrastructure such as Optimism, Arbitrum, or zkSync.
• Proficiency in developing and managing bridge protocols and L2-native applications.
• Strong understanding of Ethereum core concepts and decentralized network architectures.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust rollup infrastructure using technologies like Optimism, Arbitrum, or zkSync.
• Develop and maintain secure bridge protocols for asset and data transfer across Ethereum layers.
• Optimize L2-native applications to ensure high performance and low-latency execution.
• Research and integrate emerging scaling techniques to improve network efficiency and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define standards for Layer 2 integration and ecosystem growth.
