Job summary

BairesDev is hiring a Software Engineer specialized in Go and Distributed Systems to build and maintain the high-performance infrastructure powering our services. You will design and implement complex coordination systems and distributed databases for global scalability.

The role requires deep knowledge of distributed systems, Raft and Paxos, and a track record of delivering high-performance backends. This is a 100% remote position with competitive USD compensation and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on systems programming and distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in building distributed infrastructure using Go, including consensus algorithms and coordination services.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles such as Raft, Paxos, and distributed databases.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing high-performance, concurrent, and fault-tolerant backend systems.
• Strong background in system architecture, including data serialization and inter-service communication protocols.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly concurrent, low-latency distributed systems using Go.
• Implement and optimize consensus algorithms such as Raft to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
• Build and scale distributed databases and coordination services to support global infrastructure.
• Solve complex challenges related to distributed state, networking, and system synchronization.
• Collaborate with architectural teams to define standards for scalable and fault-tolerant backend services.
• Conduct performance tuning and debugging of core distributed components to maintain peak efficiency.
