Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design and deliver scalable applications. You will collaborate with business analysts, testers, and support teams to translate requirements into robust solutions, while leading code reviews and applying modern design patterns and UML concepts.

The role emphasizes hands-on Java development, microservices design, and DevOps practices with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, UML and software architecture.
• Experience with microservices design and service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and basic DevOps practices.
• Proficient in MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Golang experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across geos/locations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and prepare technical designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Design and implement Java applications.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and apply best practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize code for performance and scalability.
• Work with BA/QA to deliver high-quality software.
• Coordinate with teams across multiple geos/locations.
• Provide updates during development and support activities.
• Ensure solutions are standards-based, maintainable, and on schedule.
• Resolve technical issues via debugging and research.
• Share knowledge and lessons within the team.
