Job summary

PUMA Group is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design and implement robust Java-based solutions aligned with our technology strategy in Manila. You will collaborate across teams through the full SDLC, drive DevOps practices, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance software.

The role requires 5+ years in software development, strong knowledge of architecture patterns, cloud, microservices, and containerization.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/IT or related field
Minimum of 5 years of software development experience
Strong knowledge of software patterns and best practices
Proficiency in Java and related frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms, microservices and containerization
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust software solutions aligned with business goals and technology strategy
Collaborate across development teams throughout the SDLC
Support deployment automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices
Translate requirements into effective software designs
Drive feature development and coordinate cross-functional enhancements
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
Ensure scalability, security and performance of software systems
