Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design and deliver scalable applications. You will collaborate with business analysts, testers, and support teams to translate requirements into robust solutions, while leading code reviews and applying modern design patterns and UML concepts.

The role emphasizes hands-on Java development, microservices design, and DevOps practices with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, UML and software architecture.
• Experience with microservices design and service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and basic DevOps practices.
• Proficient in MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Golang experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across geos/locations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job description

• Conduct analysis on business requirements and prepare technical design

• Design and implement applications using Java
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, and proactively apply them to enhance the development process
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to address performance and scalability issues
• Work closely with the BA/QA to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets established standards

Requirements

• Strong understanding of design patterns, architectural blueprints, UML and application design
• Experienced with microservices design
• Experienced with continuous delivery principles: Docker, Kubernetes, and basic DevOps
• Experienced with database technologies like MS SQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience in Golang is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with teams in multiple geos / locations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
