Gamigo Philippines Inc. seeks a Senior Java Engineer to own the core commerce and account management platform powering our US game portfolio.

You will lead modernization, secure, and migrate a legacy Java-based system to modern infrastructure across platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam). You will work autonomously in your time zone, collaborating with US leadership via Jira and GitLab, implementing SSO with providers and driving MSSQL to PostgreSQL migrations while optimizing

Qualifications

• Expert Java proficiency with deep experience in Java development and maintenance.
• Hands-on Spring Web Flow and Apache Struts experience.
• Strong MSSQL experience; familiarity with PostgreSQL or migration projects.
• Experience with FreeMarker templates (.ftl) or similar templating engines.
• Kubernetes deployment and orchestration experience.
• Maven build automation and ActiveMQ messaging experience.
• OAuth2, OIDC, or SAML for implementing SSO.
• Experience with payment gateway integrations or e-commerce platforms.
• Experience migrating legacy monoliths to microservices or modern cloud infrastructures.
• Self-starter with autonomy and cross-time-zone collaboration.
• Resilience and ability to untangle complex legacy dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Platform modernization: update core libraries and frameworks for security and performance.
• Database & Cloud Migration: migrate services from GCP and MSSQL to PostgreSQL.
• Feature Engineering: implement new critical features, including SSO integrations.
• Platform Integration: maintain API integrations with major gaming platforms (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo).
• Full-Stack Maintenance: backend and frontend using FreeMarker templates and Spring Web Flow.
• Autonomy & Communication: act as technical anchor in your region, collaborate with US leadership via Jira and GitLab.
