Onward Worldwide Management & Consultancy in Makati seeks a Senior Java Lead to steer a team of developers, focusing on backend gaming applications using Java frameworks. You will guide architecture, code reviews, and project delivery while ensuring quality and timely results.

The ideal candidate has proven leadership, strong Java Spring and RESTful API experience, and a track record in online game development within Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent English business communication.
• Previous experience in a lead role.
• Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience across the full software development life cycle.
• Experience in online game development.
• Experience with Java Spring Framework.
• Ability to think critically and creatively to solve technical challenges.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
• 5 years in online game development and 7 years with Java Spring & RESTful API development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, technical guidance, mentorship, coaching, and support to software development teams.
• Evaluate/Approve requests of subordinates.
• Provide effective feedback and performance reviews to ensure targets are met.
• Create KPI/KRA/JD and ensure adherence and data availability.
• Participate in project planning and estimation, manage timelines and resources.
• Break down project requirements into tasks and delegate to team members.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Identify and address code quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
• Ensure proper delegation and documentation of processes and project information.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
