Job summary

Flat Planet Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot in a cloud-enabled environment.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing software for healthcare services, applying TDD/BDD, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Solid understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL database experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Experience with Vue.js is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
