Job summary

Pax Asia Information Corporation in the Philippines seeks an IT Server Engineer to maintain and optimize the server infrastructure for the iSlot studio. You will ensure availability, performance, and security of server systems and applications, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting servers while proactively monitoring issues.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in server administration, strong Linux/Windows Server skills, and experience with VMware/Hyper‑V and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in server administration or infrastructure engineering, senior level is a plus.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and VPNs.
• Deep Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server experience.
• Hands-on virtualization and cloud experience (VMware/Hyper‑V, AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure servers based on business requirements.
• Perform routine server administration, monitoring, and backups.
• Implement server security measures and patch management.
• Monitor performance metrics and optimize configurations.
• Troubleshoot server incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation and share knowledge with IT staff.
• Manage server backup and disaster recovery; participate in drills.
• Collaborate with vendors for hardware, licenses, and support.
