Job summary

UCT in Cebu is seeking a seasoned Test Engineer IV to join our embedded software/hardware testing group for SaaS products. You will bridge Testing and Development, drive defect reproduction, validation and regression testing, and guide peers in planning and executing tests.

Ideal candidates hold a BS or MS in engineering or CS and have 5–10+ years in product-based testing, with IoT experience (embedded, gateway, cloud, Wi-Fi).

Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer, electronic, electrical engineering or CS.
• 5–10+ years of product-based testing experience.
• Experience in IoT products (embedded, gateway, cloud, Wi-Fi) such as LoraWAN, Zwave, Zigbee.
• Knowledge of testing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail) for plans, test cases and reports.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (Redmine, JIRA).
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps, software verification and validation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on system embedded sw/hardware testing for SaaS product.
• Interface between Testing and Development teams for defect reproduction, validation and regression testing.
• Plan testing and automation activities, guide and mentor team members.
• Identify, evaluate, and validate development issues and communicate status to R&D management.
• Represent Test team in cross-functional meetings and take ownership of testing schedules.
• Manage feedback and deployment issues promptly with customers and internal teams.
• Participate in on-site deployments/demos/presentations of the IIOT Product Solution.
