UCT Fluid Solutions in the Philippines seeks a Test Engineer IV to lead hands-on system embedded software and hardware testing for our IIOT Product Solution, covering user interfaces, systems, and embedded software.

Join the R&D team to plan testing and automation, mentor engineers, coordinate defect repro and validation, and drive quality in a fast-paced environment across SaaS, IoT gateways, and cloud components.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of product-based testing experience.
• BS or MS in computer/electronic/electrical engineering or CS.
• Experience with embedded, gateway, cloud testing and IoT.
• Proficient with TestRail, JIRA/Redmine; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on system embedded sw/hardware testing for SaaS product.
• Interface between Testing and Development teams to reproduce defects.
• Plan testing and automation activities; mentor team.
• Identify issues and report project status to R&D management.
• Represent Test team in cross-functional meetings and manage schedules.
• Coordinate feedback and deployment issues with customers and internal teams.
• Participate in on-site deployments/demos of the IIOT Product Solution.

UCT is looking for a talented Test Engineer IV to join us in Philippines!

Job Summary:

UCT Fluid Solutions has more than a half-century of experience supporting high-purity and process control applications. Our flow control and fluid management solutions address the demanding requirements of a broad number of industries, and we are leveraging on IOT to drive even more innovation in this workspace. The successful candidate will be part of the R&D organization and will lead the test team in validating our IIOT Product Solution which includes user interface applications, systems, and embedded software testing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will carry out hands on system embedded sw/hardware testing activities for SaaS product.
• Should be independent and acts as an interface between Testing and Development (Embedded SW/ Cloud Application/Hardware) teams to help in defect re-production, carry out validation and regression testing for the assigned project.
• Plan the testing and automation activities for the team members, guide and mentor them.
• Should be able identify, evaluate, and validate development issues and communicate project’s technical status to the R&D management
• Shall represent Test team in the cross functional meetings and take ownership in testing schedules, quality of work and activities
• Shall manage feedback and deployment issues promptly with the customers and internal teams.
• Participate in on-site deployments/demos/presentations of the IIOT Product Solution

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in IOT products, such as embedded, gateway, cloud (fullstack) and so on. (e.g LoraWAN. Zwave, Zigbee, Wi-Fi)
• Knowledge and experience of Testing Concepts and Methodologies
• Experience in Test Management Tools (eg TestRail) for developing test plans/procedure, test cases execution and preparing test reports
• Experience in using defect report tools (Eg. Redmine, JIRA) is a must
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skill, and ability to work independently and in teams
• Experience with Agile software development, DevOps, software verification and validation
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and delivery quality under minimal supervision
• Possess good analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong English language skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge and experience in Test Automation (Python,)
• Knowledge and experience in HW activities (understand Schematics, test/troubleshoot HW issue) is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in instrumentation, valves is a plus

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• BS or MS in computer/electronic/electrical engineering or computer science
• At least 5 to 10 years or more product-based testing experience.
