Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Inventory and Purchasing Staff at the Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, offering hybrid work and a night shift. You will handle accounting records, inventory valuations, and purchasing processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years in accounting with inventory focus, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. It also emphasizes internal controls and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience with inventory management and purchasing workflows.
• At least 1 year of night shift experience.
• Proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and inventory costing methods (FIFO, Weighted Average).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general accounting records and perform month-end reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory valuations, COGS, and reconcile stock counts.
• Process purchase orders, verify vendor contracts and pricing, and manage supplier statements.
• Manage financial entries, workflows, and reporting using QuickBooks.
• Ensure internal controls and support audits and tax compliance.

Your Role

As a Senior Inventory and Purchasing Staff, you will:

• Maintain accurate general accounting records, process journal entries, perform month-end reconciliations, and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Monitor inventory valuations, track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and reconcile physical stock counts against system balances.
• Process purchase orders, verify vendor contracts and pricing, reconcile supplier statements, and manage Accounts Payable/Receivable transactions.
• Manage financial entries, workflows, and reporting using QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
• Ensure internal controls, assist with audit preparation, and maintain compliance with financial reporting standards and tax regulations.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on inventory management and purchasing workflows.
• At least 1 year of proven experience working on a night shift schedule.
• High proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, GAAP/IFRS, and inventory costing methods (e.g., FIFO, Weighted Average).

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Strong analytical, data reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience performing cycle counts, stock audits, and logistics coordination.
• Proven ability to establish internal controls and support external audit requirements.
• Experience evaluating supplier performance metrics and optimizing QuickBooks financial workflows.
