Job summary

MicroSourcing in Pasay City is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join our onsite night-shift finance team. The successful candidate will manage revenue reconciliation, assist month-end close, and support budgeting and financial reporting for Australia, Canada, or US-based clients.

You will work with cross-functional partners, maintain internal controls, and mentor junior staff while delivering accurate journal entries, cash management tasks, and ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Good understanding of GAAP or applicable standard.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• High integrity and a sense of confidentiality, especially when handling sensitive financial information.
• Senior-level accounting professional with stronger technical experience and industry exposure.
• Candidate should possess leadership qualities and be able to mentor and guide team members as needed (without direct management).
• Advanced Excel proficiency: formulas, reporting, reconciliations, pivot tables, data analysis.
• Preference for stable tenure and consistent employment history.
• Prior accounting experience supporting Australia, Canada, or US-based clients/businesses is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile revenue and related balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Reconcile receivables with credit card processor statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, by preparing costs schedules.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support Finance Department's schedule management and file organization.
• Help prepare journal entries for revenue recognition.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly).
• Help prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management tasks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., auditors) on financial matters.
• Assist with audit preparation (retrieve documents, prepare working papers).
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
