MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Cost & Inventory Accountant to manage inventory valuations, COGS tracking, and general accounting duties from a hybrid work setup in Pasay. The role requires expertise in GAAP/IFRS, journal entries, and strong QuickBooks skills.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years in accounting with inventory focus, 1+ year of night shift experience, and solid Excel proficiency to drive accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience with strong focus on inventory management and purchasing workflows.
• At least 1 year of experience working on a night shift.
• High proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and inventory costing methods (FIFO, Weighted Average).

Responsabilidades

• Maintain general accounting records, process journal entries, perform month-end reconciliations, and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Monitor inventory valuations, track COGS, and reconcile stock counts against system balances.
• Process purchase orders, verify vendor contracts and pricing, reconcile supplier statements, and manage AP/AR transactions.
• Manage financial entries, workflows, and reporting using QuickBooks.
• Ensure internal controls, assist with audit preparation, and maintain compliance with financial reporting standards and tax regulations.

Your Role

As a Senior Cost & Inventory Accountant, you will:

• Maintain accurate general accounting records, process journal entries, perform month-end reconciliations, and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Monitor inventory valuations, track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and reconcile physical stock counts against system balances.
• Process purchase orders, verify vendor contracts and pricing, reconcile supplier statements, and manage Accounts Payable/Receivable transactions.
• Manage financial entries, workflows, and reporting using QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
• Ensure internal controls, assist with audit preparation, and maintain compliance with financial reporting standards and tax regulations.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on inventory management and purchasing workflows.
• At least 1 year of proven experience working on a night shift schedule.
• High proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, GAAP/IFRS, and inventory costing methods (e.g., FIFO, Weighted Average).

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Strong analytical, data reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience performing cycle counts, stock audits, and logistics coordination.
• Proven ability to establish internal controls and support external audit requirements.
• Experience evaluating supplier performance metrics and optimizing QuickBooks financial workflows.
