Job summary

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Manila Shared Services Centre is seeking an Internal Controller to strengthen internal control, risk management and compliance across finance, HR, ICT and security domains. You will lead or contribute to field visits, drive governance, and present findings to management.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting, professional accounting certification, and strong English; French or other languages are advantageous.

Qualifications

• University degree in accountancy or equivalent.
• Certification by an internationally recognized accounting body is an asset.
• Very good computer skills; CAATs familiarity an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Guides, advises on and monitors the internal control system across activities to mitigate identified risks.
• Conducts targeted, risk-based site visits and process walkthroughs, reports results and ensures follow-up.
• Strengthens lines of defence in collaboration with compliance units, GCO and Internal Audit.
• Develops and delivers presentations to raise awareness of internal controls and compliance.
• May lead internal control teams for delegations during field visits and coordinate tasks.
