Private Advertiser is seeking a Cost Estimator / Techno-Economic Modeller to develop cost estimates and financial models for hydropower projects, supporting investment decisions.

The role covers capital and operating cost estimation, cash-flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and reporting to stakeholders. A strong background in hydropower economics and 10+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of hydropower cost estimation and financial modelling.
• Experience developing techno-economic and financial models.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with feasibility studies and investment assessments is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Ability to communicate financial and technical findings to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed hydropower project cost estimates.
• Prepare capital expenditure and operating expenditure estimates.
• Develop techno-economic and financial models for hydropower schemes.
• Assess project costs across civil works, electro-mechanical equipment, transmission, construction, and other major components.
• Develop project cash-flow projections and financial assumptions.
• Undertake sensitivity and scenario analyses.
• Evaluate project economics and financial viability.
• Benchmark project costs against comparable hydropower developments where appropriate.
• Identify key cost and financial risks.
• Prepare cost estimates, financial models, and technical-commercial reports for decision-making.
