Job summary

My Tax Men is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for complex commercial mechanical projects. You will work with design, project management, and construction teams to deliver innovative HVAC solutions for demanding environments.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC estimating experience, familiarity with large Tier 1/2 projects, and strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation methodologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in HVAC estimating.
• Experience on Tier 1/2 commercial projects.
• Experience across hospitals, fit outs, retail, and industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and installation methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Trade background or tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering/building services (preferred).
• Well-spoken English.
• Good communication skills to call suppliers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for mechanical HVAC projects
• Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to identify project scope and requirements
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing
• Participate in tender reviews, handovers, and value engineering workshops
• Support the estimating team with technical advice and commercial insights
• Maintain accurate records and databases of pricing, materials, and labour costs
