Job description

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Analysis: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope.
• Budget Monitoring & Cost Tracking: Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and estimates. Identify and report cost variances and potential overruns to management in a timely manner.
• Procurement Coordination Support: Provide material take-offs and quantity verifications to support procurement planning. Review supplier quotations to confirm consistency with project estimates.
• Quantity Take-Offs & BOQ Preparation: Perform accurate quantity take-offs from mechanical/HVAC drawings and specifications. Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in line with project requirements. Validate received materials and submittals against BOQs for compliance.
• Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain organized records of cost estimates, revisions, costing sheets, and final BOQs.
• Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with Engineers and Project Managers to align cost planning with actual field conditions. Participate in site meetings to provide cost-related insights and updates. Propose value engineering options when applicable to optimize cost-efficiency.
• Accuracy, Timeliness & Output Quality: Deliver high-quality cost documents, estimates, and reports on schedule with minimal errors. Uphold quality standards and accuracy in all deliverables under tight timelines. Demonstrate reliability and diligence in completing assigned tasks.
