The Senior HR Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the organization’s HR team and shaping a people strategy that supports the company’s purpose, growth, and evolving operating model. The role combines enterprise HR leadership with hands‑on transformation, strengthening the foundations, systems, capabilities, and culture needed for Kayana to scale.
The role will act as a strategic partner to the President & CEO and senior leadership team, while remaining close to employees and day‑to‑day business operations. The role will lead the HR team and oversee day‑to‑day HR operations, own the full employee lifecycle, and drive transformation initiatives that move HR from manual and fragmented practices toward clear, consistent, data‑informed, employee‑centered, and technology‑enabled ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team, setting clear priorities, roles, service standards, and measures of success while building a high-accountability and collaborative team culture.
- Partner with the President & CEO and senior leaders to translate business direction into an integrated people and organization strategy, workforce priorities, and an executable HR roadmap.
- Lead HR transformation across the employee lifecycle, including process redesign, policy modernization, governance, digitization, HRIS implementation, reporting, and employee and manager self‑service.
- Own the design and delivery of core HR programs across workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, career growth, rewards, engagement, employee relations, and offboarding.
- Drive organization effectiveness initiatives, including role clarity, organization design, capability planning, leadership effectiveness, cross‑functional collaboration, and change adoption.
- Shape and sustain the organization’s culture by translating purpose and values into observable leadership practices, talent decisions, performance expectations, recognition, and everyday ways of working.
- Build a listening and employee experience strategy using pulse surveys, focused discussions, employee feedback, and people data; convert insights into prioritized actions and track progress with leaders.
- Establish fit‑for‑purpose HR policies, controls, documentation, and decision rights that support agility while protecting employee welfare, confidentiality, data privacy, and compliance with applicable Philippine labor requirements.
- Serve as a trusted adviser on complex people matters and organizational change, balancing business needs, fairness, employee experience, risk, and sound judgment.
- Develop meaningful people metrics and executive dashboards that provide visibility into workforce health, talent risks, hiring, retention, engagement, performance, capacity, and transformation outcomes.
- Lead communication and change management for major people initiatives, ensuring leaders understand their responsibilities and employees know what is changing, why it matters, and how they are supported.
- Manage HR resources, vendors, budgets, and external partners, ensuring quality, value, accountability, and reduced operational dependency where internal capability should be developed.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Organization Development, or a related discipline, including leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading an HR team and managing multiple HR disciplines across the employee lifecycle.
- Proven track record in HR transformation, change management, process improvement, HR technology or HRIS implementation, and building scalable people practices.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect people priorities to company strategy, operating requirements, customer outcomes, and financial realities.
- Working knowledge of Philippine labor standards, employee relations, HR governance, data privacy, and sound documentation practices.
- Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders in a fast‑paced, evolving, or entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to move confidently between strategy and execution, from executive‑level recommendations to hands‑on problem solving and implementation.
- High integrity, discretion, empathy, resilience, and courage to address difficult issues with fairness, clarity, and respect.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- A master’s degree, recognized HR certification, or formal training in change management, organization development, project management, or HR analytics is an advantage.
