Job summary

Spiderhook seeks an on-the-ground HR partner for our Intramuros office, supporting everyday people challenges and shaping internal culture. You will be the go-to HR person on the floor, backed by the wider Spiderhook HR Operations group.

You will handle onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and data management, collaborating with on-site managers and centralized teams. This role is 100% internal staff, with payroll inputs and HR documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, business administration or related field.
• Solid generalist experience across the employee lifecycle with direct ownership of employee relations, benefits, and HR documentation.
• Working knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code, DOLE issuances, and the Data Privacy Act as applied to HR records.
• Experience improving HR policies and processes, not only running existing ones.
• Strong documentation habits and careful handling of confidential information.
• Maritime or manning agency exposure is a plus, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare employment contracts and offers, run pre-employment clearances, and lead new hire orientation.

• Coordinate hiring and HMO administration with centralized teams; run recruitment or benefits work when needed.
• Administer performance evaluations, recognition programs, and engagement activities onsite.

In this role, you partner directly with on-site managers to solve everyday people challenges and shape the culture of our internal corporate team. (To be clear: this role is 100% internal staff - seafarer processing and crew deployment are handled separately.) You get the independence of being the go-to HR person on the floor, backed by the wider Spiderhook HR Operations group whenever a project needs more hands, or you just want a second opinion.

What You Will Actually Do

• Employee relations. Handle grievances, disciplinary cases, and exits within our SLA tiers, with documentation and due process done right the first time.
• Compliance and reporting. Apply DOLE labor law and Data Privacy Act requirements, prepare mandatory reports, and keep the compliance calendar current.
• Onboarding and contracts. Prepare employment contracts and offers, run pre-employment clearances, and lead new hire orientation.
• Employee records and data. Maintain 201 files and HRIS records, and process attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and personnel movements. You read what the data shows on turnover and leave patterns, then bring it to the managers you support.
• Recruitment and benefits. Coordinate hiring and HMO administration with our centralized teams, and run recruitment or benefits work yourself when timelines call for it.
• Performance and engagement. Administer performance evaluations, recognition programs, and engagement activities onsite.
