Job summary

Golden Renal Care Holdings Inc. is seeking an experienced Hemodialysis Shift Leader in the Philippines to oversee safe, efficient HD operations. You will manage staff allocation, ensure documentation integrity, and act as the primary escalation point for complications while maintaining DOH/PSN standards.

You will mentor nurses, supervise treatments, and coordinate with physicians, biomed techs, and QA teams to uphold high clinical standards and patient safety on every shift.

Qualifications

  • BSN degree from a CHED-accredited institution.
  • Active RN license from PRC.
  • DOH-accredited Hemodialysis Nurse Training program (≥480 hours).
  • Current IV Therapy, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
  • RENAP membership in good standing.
  • Completion of Preceptor/Leadership Training or equivalent supervisory program.
  • Annual DOH-recognized Infection-Control or QA workshop.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HD shift, assign nurses and trainees based on competency and patient acuity.
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift briefs, highlight safety issues and updates.
  • Supervise initiation, monitoring, and termination of HD treatments; coordinate physician communication for complications.
  • Oversee documentation quality—verify flow sheets, signatures, and PhilHealth claim completeness.
  • Respond to clinical emergencies using ACLS protocols and coordinate rapid team response.
  • Monitor infection-control, water-quality logs, and machine disinfection cycles; initiate corrective actions.
  • Mentor and evaluate trainees and junior nurses with coaching on HD standards.
  • Coordinate with biomedical technicians for equipment readiness and maintenance.
  • Ensure consumable sufficiency; track stock use and assist with inventory planning.
  • Generate and submit shift reports with census, incidents, and staffing metrics.

About the role

Provides direct shift leadership in the hemodialysis unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across assigned stations and staff. Oversees patient flow, staff allocation, and adherence to DOH/PSN standards, including the mandated 1 nurse: 4 patient/station ratio. Acts as the primary clinical escalation point for complications, documentation integrity, and shift-level quality assurance.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the HD shift, assigning nurses and trainees to stations based on competency and patient acuity

  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefs, highlighting safety issues, incidents, and operational updates

  • Supervise initiation, monitoring, and termination of HD treatments, ensuring timely physician communication for complications

  • Oversee documentation quality - verify treatment flow sheets, signatures, and PhilHealth claim completeness before submission

  • Respond to clinical emergencies (e.g., hypotension, cardiac arrest, access bleeding) using ACLS protocols and coordinate rapid team response

  • Monitor infection-control compliance, water-quality logs, and machine disinfection cycles; initiate corrective actions for deviations

  • Mentor and evaluate trainees and junior nurses, providing coaching and ensuring adherence to HD clinical standards

  • Coordinate with the biomedical technician to ensure equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, and resolution of alarms

  • Ensure consumable sufficiency and accountability - track stock use, report discrepancies, and support Head Nurse in inventory planning

  • Generate and submit shift reports summarizing patient census, incidents, consumable use, and staffing metrics

About you
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a CHED-accredited institution

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)

  • Completed DOH-accredited Hemodialysis Nurse Training Program (≥ 480 hours)

  • Current IV Therapy, BLS, and ACLS certifications

  • RENAP membership in good standing

  • Completion of Preceptor/Leadership Training or equivalent internal supervisory program

  • Attendance in at least one DOH-recognized Infection-Control or QA workshop annually

  • ≥3 years HD experience

  • Leadership/Preceptor training

  • QA & IPC course completion
