• RENAP membership in good standing.
• Supervisory/Nurse Manager Training (RENAP/DOH or equivalent).
• Annual QA and Infection Control continuing education for accreditation.
• Preferred: Healthcare Quality Management/Leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations, staffing assignments, patient scheduling, and compliance with 1 nurse: 4 patient/station ratio.
• Supervise nursing staff with performance appraisals and competency validations.
• Develop and maintain clinical protocols reflecting best practices and regulatory updates.
• Review and sign off on patient treatment documentation for PhilHealth readiness.
• Lead QA and infection-control programs and monitor clinical indicators.
• Coordinate with Medical Director on patient safety, audits, and policy improvements.
• Plan and manage staff schedules ensuring appropriate skill mix and labour compliance.
• Monitor inventory and ensure cost-efficient supply management.
• Prepare licensing documentation for DOH, PSN, and PhilHealth accreditation and renewal audits.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

About the role

Oversee daily clinic operations, including staffing assignments, patient scheduling, and compliance with the mandated 1 nurse: 4 patient/station ratio.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to DOH and PSN licensing standards, including infection control, documentation, and equipment maintenance requirements




• Supervise all nursing staff, conducting performance appraisals, competency validations, and career-development planning




• Develop and maintain clinical protocols, ensuring they reflect current best practices and regulatory updates




• Review and sign off on all patient treatment documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and PhilHealth claim readiness




• Lead the clinic's quality assurance and infection-control programs, monitoring indicators such as water-quality results, incident reports, and treatment outcomes




• Coordinate with the Medical Director on patient safety issues, clinical audits, and policy improvements




• Plan and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate skill mix, coverage, and compliance with labour standards




• Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring sufficient consumables, medicines, and emergency supplies while maintaining cost efficiency




• Prepare and maintain licensing documentation for DOH, PSN, and PhilHealth accreditation and renewal audits




• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and documented

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a CHED-accredited institution.


• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).


• Training & Certifications:


• Completed DOH-accredited Hemodialysis Nurse Training Program (≥ 480 hours).


• Current IV Therapy, BLS, and ACLS certifications.


• RENAP membership in good standing.


• Completed Supervisory or Nurse Manager Training Program (RENAP, DOH, or institutional equivalent).


• Annual completion of QA and Infection Control continuing education as required for accreditation.


• Preferred: Training in Healthcare Quality Management, Leadership, or Clinical Instruction.


• Time/Experience: ≥6 years HD experience; supervisor training; QA and infection control certification.

Reporting line: Reports to Area Nurse Manager / Medical Director.

Supervisory scope: Directly oversees Charge Nurses and Staff Nurses; indirect supervision of Trainees.

Work ratio: Ensures clinic adherence to DOH-mandated 1 nurse: 4 patient/station standard and appropriate staffing across shifts.
