Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems, LLC is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance hardware systems. You will own significant portions of projects from architectural definition to validation and release, while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.

You will work with autonomy on challenging design problems, contributing to product performance, quality, and time-to-market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex products from concept to production.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leads design and development of complex, high-performance circuits and systems, making critical architectural decisions.
• Designs PCB layouts complying with IPC standards and internal guidelines.
• Maintains electronic component libraries and BOMs with proper schematics and land patterns.
• Mentors junior engineers and conducts design reviews.
• Creates and maintains design documentation including schematics and assembly instructions.
• Generates PCB fabrication (TED) packages and meets project deadlines.
• Identifies opportunities to improve design processes and tools.
