Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a senior engineer to design, develop, and validate hardware and software test solutions for new products. You will lead technical activities, conduct experiments, and deliver clear reports on project outcomes to drive manufacturing success.

The role involves DPE setups on ATE and wafer probe systems, as well as software/hardware validation steps (GR&R, Loop Study, Histograms) to ensure robust test capabilities across new devices.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent Semiconductor Testing experience.
• 8-15 years of Product Development experience with strong test development (probe/final test/characterization).
• Experience with Eagle Test Systems (or similar).
• Experience in defining, developing and implementing test program framework between platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate new hardware and software test solutions to release a new product to manufacturing.
• Lead technical activities and design experiments to resolve development issues and new product releases.
• Prepare and present reports on technical project outcomes with actionable recommendations.
• Set up DPE products on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and wafer probe/packaged device handling equipment.
• Validate software and hardware steps including GR&R, Loop Study, Histograms, and PTC results.
