Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead landscaping operations on Diego Garcia for a US Navy program. You will supervise a team, plan assignments, ensure safety, and manage irrigation, mowing, and pest control to maintain attractive, functional outdoor spaces.

The role requires five years in landscape design and management, strong leadership, and ability to obtain visas and medical clearance for deployment.

Qualifications

At least five (5) years of landscape design and management experience.
Strong knowledge of irrigation, plant care, and pest management.
Proven leadership and organizational skills to manage a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to obtain passports, visas, and pass medical and security checks.
Must be able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

Oversee grounds maintenance staff and ensure landscaping tasks are completed effectively.
Plan and coordinate assignments to meet program goals and timelines.
Enforce safety standards and provide guidance on safe landscaping practices.
Design, improve and maintain landscaped areas for visual appeal and function.
Supervise irrigation, mowing, fertilization, pest control, and related activities.
Inspect grounds, identify improvements, and manage service contracts.
Maintain equipment, materials, and tool inventory and procurement.
Prepare reports on activities, resources, and schedules.
