Job summary

socium - teams done differently is seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to join our technology and consulting team in Taguig, Metro Manila. You will design, develop, and scale backend services in Golang, focusing on cloud-native architectures and high availability.

You will architect event-driven flows with Apache Kafka, deploy containerized apps on Amazon EKS, and own CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions while collaborating with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver robust, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Golang experience.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency and memory management.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions or similar.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and gRPC.
• Experience with cloud-native design principles.
• Familiarity with IaC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Golang.
• Architect and implement event-driven systems with Apache Kafka.
• Build and manage containerized apps using Amazon EKS / AWS Kubernetes.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product, and Architecture teams.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and security in production.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure uptime.
