Job summary

Emd Group is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to manage complex MEC cycles, prepare financial statements, and drive GL improvements. You will ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance, oversee balance sheet reconciliations, and partner with auditors while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires 8+ years of GL experience, Oracle/SAP proficiency, and a willingness to work in Manila (BGC/Taguig) mid to night shifts, with automation and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in finance or accounting is required.
• Masters or CPA accreditation highly preferred.
• 8+ years in General Ledger operations.
• Strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge and tax understanding.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle and SAP required.
• Fluent English language skills are necessary.
• Willing to be based in BGC, Taguig and work mid/night shifts.
• Automation experience (VBA) and advanced Excel are a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead Month-End Close (MEC) processes for complex entities.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Perform variance analysis and balance sheet reviews.
• Oversee high-risk GL reconciliations and master data governance.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure SOX/ICFR compliance.
• Drive process optimization and ERP-related improvements.
