Job summary

Emd Group is seeking a General Ledger Accounting Specialist (Sr. Accountant) to own MEC for assigned entities and drive financial integrity. You will oversee complex GL activities, master data governance, and journal entries while partnering with local finance teams and auditors.

You will mentor junior accountants, push for process improvements, and support ERP upgrades or migrations. This role is based in Manila Shared Service Center with mid/night shift options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA preferred.
• 5–8 years of General Ledger accounting operations experience.
• Profound knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and tax concepts.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and run the Month-End Close (MEC) for complex entities with strict deadlines.
• Prepare, review, and analyze high-quality financial statements and reports.
• Perform deep-dive variance analysis and balance sheet reviews for actionable insights.
• Oversee GL master data, high-risk accounts, and journal entries for accuracy.
