Job summary

Join Aurecon Group's Ground and Underground Engineering Practice in our Transport Service Group as a senior technical geotechnical leader. You will lead multidisciplinary geotechnical projects from feasibility to construction, directing advanced analyses with PLAXIS, GeoStudio and Rocscience, while mentoring engineers and geologists and driving technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong technical capability with experience leading and reviewing complex geotechnical design and investigations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and driving client focused outcomes.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and development of engineers and geologists.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality geotechnical designs and reports.
• ANZ experience.
• Geotechnical design and/or numerical modelling – Lexis, slope value Software – Plaxis 2D and 3D, Slope Stability, Pilling Road geotechnical design or rail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of geotechnical services across multidisciplinary projects from feasibility and concept design through detailed design and construction.
• Provide technical leadership on complex geotechnical problems, including directing and reviewing advanced analysis using tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio and Rocscience.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and geologists, supporting the ongoing development of the Ground Engineering team.
• Drive technical excellence through technical review, application of relevant standards and development and sharing of geotechnical knowledge.
• Manage multidisciplinary interfaces to achieve integrated, practical and commercially appropriate design solutions.
• Apply strong written and verbal communication, commercial judgement and technical expertise to resolve complex project and client challenges.
• Support the delivery of multidisciplinary projects through the provision of geotechnical design at feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phase services stages.
• You will have the opportunity to contribute to large transport infrastructure projects, water infrastructure, dams, energy distribution and building projects.
