Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in General Ledger or accounting operations.
• Strong understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and general accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and financial integrity.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts through regular monitoring, reconciliation, and clearing of outstanding balances.
• Review balance sheet accounts and investigate unusual or unreconciled items.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are identified, properly investigated, and resolved on a timely basis.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams to resolve accounting issues and maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare, maintain, and review balance sheet schedules and supporting accounting reports.
• Analyze financial information and account movements to identify variances, trends, and potential issues.
• Provide relevant financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including account analysis and reconciliation requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing accounting processes, controls, and workflows.
• Recommend and implement best practices to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by providing appropriate schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, client requirements, and applicable financial reporting standards.
