Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center Mexico is seeking a Senior Associate to lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, oversee loan-level accounting for mortgage servicing and lending portfolios, and support US GAAP financial reporting.

You will drive process improvements using Workday Financials and AI-enabled tools, mentor junior accountants, and collaborate with PwC onshore teams and client stakeholders to optimize controllership and financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; manage journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee loan-level accounting and subledgers for mortgage servicing and lending portfolios.
• Validate recognition of servicing revenue, interest income, deferred fees, and amortization.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements under U.S. GAAP; align with policies and audits.
• Drive process improvement and automation using Workday Financials and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate across PwC onshore teams and client stakeholders to support controllership.
• Supervise and develop junior accountants; coach and review deliverables.
• Design and execute transition and steady-state operating models for outsourced finance functions.
• Standardize accounting workflows within systems; implement enhancements.
